Who we are (the controller)

MadsWorsøe (Enkeltmandsvirksomhed (sole proprietorship)), Beritvej 13, 9280 Storvorde, Denmark, is the data controller for the personal data described here. CVR 43489550, EU VAT DK43489550. You can reach us at info@madsworsoe.com.

What we collect, why, and on what lawful basis

We only collect what you send us through a form or by email. We split this by field so the basis is exact.

• Pitch form — required fields (studio name, contact person, email, game title, genre, target platforms, your message): processed to assess your pitch and reply. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
• Pitch form — optional fields (phone, build/GDD link): processed only if you choose to provide them, to help us respond. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in assessing and replying to your enquiry. Leaving them blank changes nothing and you may object at any time.
• Enquiry form — required fields (name, email, subject, message): processed to answer your enquiry, whether you write as a business or a consumer. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(b) where you are asking about a possible engagement, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) (answering correspondence addressed to us).
• Enquiry form — optional field (studio / company): basis Article 6(1)(f), as above.
• Technical logs: our server keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) to keep the service secure and running. Basis: Article 6(1)(f).

We do not require a consent tick-box to use a form: the bases above are the correct ones, and consent you must give to submit would not be freely given. The only place we rely on consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) is optional analytics cookies — see the Cookie Policy.

Cookies and analytics

By default we set only strictly-necessary storage (a session/CSRF token for form security and a record of your cookie choice). We load Microsoft advertising/measurement (UET) and any non-essential cookies only after you allow them in the banner, using Microsoft Consent Mode v2. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Who can see your data, and where it is processed

We do not sell your data and do not disclose it to third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of processors acting on our instructions:

• Hosting: Namecheap, Inc., which hosts our website and API. Our server is located in the United States.
• Email: our mailbox provider for info@madsworsoe.com (Namecheap Private Email), used to receive and answer your messages.

We deliberately do not use a third-party CDN, third-party web analytics beyond the optional Microsoft tag, a third-party CRM, or an embedded chat widget.

International transfers

Because our hosting and mail providers operate our server in the United States, personal data you send us is processed outside the European Economic Area. There is no European Commission adequacy decision for this transfer; it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), in line with Chapter V of the GDPR. How long we keep it

We keep pitch and enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your message and any relationship that follows, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless a live engagement requires otherwise. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased where the law allows;
• restrict or object to processing (including any based on legitimate interests, Article 21);
• data portability; and
• withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time, without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these, email info@madsworsoe.com. We aim to respond within one month (Article 12(3)). You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).

We may update this policy as our processing changes; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
